It simultaneously wakes up in order to download emails and sync the social network sites, etc. There are five pre-defined profiles, namely, gentle, strong, balanced, slumberer and aggressive. The variations are between frequency, durations and also other settings. They also vary in their rates of disruptions which in turn affects the battery saved. There is also the option of custom profile which is for advanced users.
